, concord. hayward 55. san francisco 54. we had a cold front come through but even a front that moved through has no moisture and couldn't give us any rainfall. cbs 5 hi-def doppler is mainly dry once again. how about this? we have been drier than the desert. phoenix since the start of the year has had nearly 1.5" of rainfall. los angeles has 1.3." we here in san francisco .49." phoenix had twice as much rain as we have had. now, there is a rain chance with a change coming. one front moved through, dry, through nevada and southern california. behind that you get tomorrow, some sunshine, a clear night tonight, chilly. you will get sunshine tomorrow but the arrows, the winds still coming from the ocean so we'll stay chilly highs once again in the mid- to upper 50s. then thursday a different front moves through. a little bit more moisture. enough that we'll see some scattered showers on both thursday and friday. it's not going to be much but we have to walk before we run and we're going to start walking on thursday with that rain chance. the end of

everywhere, san francisco, and traces near santa rosa, concord, oakland, redwood city and near san jose. as for take a look outside right now the stormtracker 4 offshore but also along the north bay coast. mostly dry conditions but the rain is staying to the north for the most part. let us take a look at lake tahoe. we can see the snow showers. it will continue tonight and tomorrow. the wider view with plenty of spotty showers. and with the look on futurecast, the rainfall totals along the coast. we will see rainfall totals even further inland. petaluma, the same in hayward. and towards the 1:00 a.m. or, it is over the east bay and the livermore valley. and the san mateo coast line, notice the old diablo range. that is indicating snowfall. snowfall local levels at 2,500 ft.. to not be surprised to see them up the mountain levels. rainfall, still along the sasan mateo coast. that rainfall/snowfall by 5:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m. the possibility of a wayward shower into the afternoon. some returns on futurecast. largely, we are going to stay dry. clearing skies. temperatures. those are going to b

in santa rosa. 48 in san rafael. 50 in san jose. 49 in concord and also 50 in livermore. here is the thing, current temperatures right now in the low 40s in the north and off to the east bay, a wind 10 to 20 miles an hour making a lot of the bay area feel like the 30s this hour, even the 37 in cupertino, a slight windchill making it feel like 32. the live hd camera network. there's the cloud top buildup. we have some towering cumulus clouds in the south bay today as a sign of instability. we take you off to the north and what you notice is we do have some clearing up above but plenty of low-level instability here across san francisco. and as we also take you into downtown looks good tonight, but bring that jacket and be on the look out or fom rogue showers that once again may develop through the evening hours. back to the weather boards. enough instability through 7:00, 8:00, 9:00 to pop showers up along the coastline. by tomorrow morning we are expecting mainly clear conditions and that is going to set us up for an extremely cold start for wednesday morning. interior valleys in the upper
